Being assertive is the ability to unapologetically and clearly express yourself, your needs and your requests without aggression or tentativeness Assertive communication is appropriately direct, open and honest, which is self-enhancing, expressive and respectful.

Program outline

This seminar aims at developing a key skill that increases effectiveness in one’s personal and professional life. This very interactive seminar is based on exercises, role plays, individual and group work.

  • Understanding the elements of assertive communication, exploring four behavioral styles, their advantages and disadvantages
  • Diagnostic of your level of assertiveness and areas for development
  • The importance of any limiting beliefs in communication and relationships
  • The impact of stress on assertiveness and how to manage it
  • A lot of practice of various tools and techniques to improve giving and receiving constructive criticism and feedback, making assertive requests, constructive negotiations, etc.
  • Some pre-work will be requested before the workshop.

 Participants 

This program is for those who wish to work on their self-confidence and become more assertive.

Participants should be ready for a very practical and hands-on approach and be willing to participate in verbal and non-verbal exercises.

At the end of this seminar, participants will:
